KI is a technical firm founded by Thomas Kakovitch, P.hD. We employ an engineering and management staff and have industry partners who help us deploy custom engineered systems for customers in industries such as aquaculture, food production, power plants, chemical manufacturing, shipping and government. Professor Kakovitch invented and patented the Flo-Vex mechanism which is a breakthrough design for creating powerful air ejection, vacuum, and the emulsification of gases using the principles of vorticity and angular momentum to accelerate a working fluid.

KI is headquartered in Keswick, Virginia near the University of Virginia. We have an operational office in Reston, Virginia and a manufacturing location in Warrenton, Virginia.
